Okay, obviously, this is a game related rant. I've been driven nuts over the past few months about the Big N giving the cold sholder at E3. And if memory serves me right, they're not doing any of the other big shows. I know I'm not the only one that got angry about E3 (Wii Music, finally! Oh, wait, now they gimped it? Not another waggle fest...), and I'm sure that the lack of Zelda in particular was dissapointing to others, but now that Nintendo did that, they've basicly said 'Screw you!' to all the Nintendo faithful that are the only people that watch E3 anymore.
Of course, it doesn't help that the 3rd parties don't help out. The majority of the games on Wii are nothing but casual games, all waggle fests. There's a few vanguard developers that are taking Wii seriously, High Voltage's The Conduit has been making waves with its amazing graphics, and then there's Square-Enix's support (Here's hoping to KH3 using the WiiMotion Plus!), but otherwise, I haven't seen anything that breaks the norm.
I also know that the casual market they're seeking won't buy the games like we, the hardcore, do. Therefore, they're digging their own hole. I know that Wii Music, often dubbed a overblown noise maker, will likely sell millions, but I pray to God it doesn't. It should the the swift slug to the face I believe that Nintendo desperatly needs, after all, who's really buying the Wiis? From what I can tell, the Nintendo faithful, not the average joe they think they're marketing to...
There's my rant, I know some of the logic is probably flawed, but I just had to get rid of that. Anyway, I so wish that we'd get more decent games. To look on the bright side, at least their PRs haven't been as ignorant as the SEGA ones, that would be bad....
